    Hey gang!

I have been thinking about something to put the spark back into my collecting /dealing life.

I have decided to do a grading set of 1909 V.D.B cents from AG3-MS67RD including all the colors in either PCGS or NGC holders. I choose this date because as a kid this was the first Lincoln cent I bought in a slab. That coin is long gone... but I'll always remember it.

I added my first coin from one of my recent grading submissions.

Good luck to you, Dutch. Are you going to add "Plus" grades into the mix as well?

I hadn't thought about that.... It's something I'll have to consider.

Nice. I wasn't a big fan of the Lincolns until I just decided to upgrade my 1909 vdb for the Dansco 7070. After looking at soooo many, it really envoked an appreciation for them! Of course, Red is what I want.
Looking forward to seeing your set come togethor!

Go for it! These early Lincolns are some of the prettiest of the series.

Your goal is actually quite challenging. I'll bet the hardest ones are those in the lowest grades.

That will be a nice set to complete. Good luck! I look forward to seeing the completed set.

I'm curious, how did you lose the spark?

Well when you do coins from 9am-6pm five or six days a week it can get a little taxing on my motivation to do it in my free time.

I really feel like this is going to elevate me to the next level. I am not just going to by any coin in these holders... I want to make sure it's a choice specimen and graded correctly.
