Hey guys. Im hoping this thread really takes off like some other popular threads on this forum. So the question on hand is, if you could have one coin, just one, in the entire world (known to man ofcourse) what would you want? Can be any coin, US , foreign, gold, silver, clad. Any one coin that you would want if you could have any coin in the world. I look forward to seeing your wishes. Happy collecting

Figured id get us started with my desire. If i could have one coin in the entire world i would have to go with the walton specimin, 1913 liberty V nickel. There are only five of these nickels known to man and the walton specimin is the most lustrous and beautiful. Oh and i forgot to mention, please explain why you want the coin of your choice.

I suppose I'm one of the lucky few who actually has the 1 that I really wanted, some call it a coin others call it a medal. Personally it doesn't matter to me what you call it. It is a work of art and I absolutely love it. :)

I'd like to have a 1907 $20 Ultra High Relief Pattern—the size of Peoria, IL. I'd carve off a small sliver for myself and give the rest to charity.

I'm not really into world coins but I think that the 1839 5 Pound Victoria is possible one of the most beautiful coins there is

I'm not one to follow the crowd, but I'd definately go for the 1913 V-nickel. I've been in love with it since I was ten.

I would choose a 1793 Chain Reverse Large Cent. Specifically, I would choose the very first coin to come out of the coining press in 1793. It would be a huge honor to own the first coin produced using government machinery in the nation’s first mint.
