Yeah, the valve is slowly being cut off now. Gonna ask my Cred Union to order me 5 boxes of halves to go through with the proceeds from my cent sales.

Just wrapped up a box of cents... about 15 coppers, including two, yes, two RB 1955 wheats, and a gorgeous '70-S that was on the end of a roll. Know why I love plastic rolls? No rolling machine damage.

  3. On Friday I got myself a box of pennies. I've been busy, so I couldn't post it lately. I was very pleased with it.

    27% copper

    34 Wheats, including 1 '35, 20 40's, and 13 50's

    And...

 A 1903 INDIAN HEAD CENT!!!
My first one in a roll. The reverse was on the end of a roll. It's pretty well circulated, but still very readable. I'll post pictures when I get the chance.

Tell me you took pics before you pulled it out of the roll.

I forgot to mention, I found a pretty nice 1910 the other day, probably a VF+ coin... unfortunately, someone decided to freakin' paint it with silver sparkle paint or something, I was so confused and upset.

  5. I hate it when someone damages the coin. I got some snapshots. I'll upload them when I get an opening

$120 in cwr's of halves... nothing. The teller at another bank said that a man was in this morning and had a bunch of halves. He asked her if they were silver. She was honest and said yes. He didn't leave them at the bank. To bad I wasn't there at the time. I could have made an offer.

I got about $200 in CWRs today, nothing special until I open one roll and realize one of the banks accidentally gave me a roll of gold dollar coins :)

I have rolls and rolls of 68-70 's' coins that were given to me that vary in condition. I was going to just cash them in, I know a bunch of them were some time ago but not sure if all of them were. I'll have to go look for them if they're worth going through. I know I posted about it before when I first got them.

If they're original bank rolls, drop me a message and we'll work out a price for the lot. If they're just rolls of BU's, we can still work something out... but any premium will always be much higher for original rolls.

So after all that talk about not finding a war nickel, my bank doesn't have a full box, so I ask for 20$ in Nickels to supplement. The dimes were a bust, but what do I find in the Nickels?

With the economy being bad a lot of Unc-MS Wheat & LMC cent are being dumped just to pay bills:kewl:

I haven't seen any rolls of MS wheats, so I will contest that assertion. LMC's, I'm not sure about... most of the BU's I find come off as rejects from the roll... bad end roll toning, too many dings, etc... I think I've pulled maybe five 65-66+ older memorials out of the hundreds of thousands I've searched.

Sold my last lot of copper cents, it's still not counted, so I'll be busy for an hour tonight getting that lot counted out. On the topic of current roll searching, gonna pick up a box of dimes, cents, and nickels today from a new branch I haven't been to yet... Hopefully they have halves too.

EDIT: They've got $40, and they're holding 'em for me. Hopefully this is a nice score, I could use one, things have been dry lately.

Screw eating lunch, I'm gonna roadtrip down this road and hit these banks I've never been at before.

So I went to the bank, saw silver halves in the tellers tray while he had his drawer open, asked if he had any halves loose besides the rolls, he lied and said no. Bad liar too, I could tell he was lying right away. I put him on the spot. "I saw them in your drawer, and I want them." He just claimed he didn't know what I was talking about. Asked to talk to the manager. Manager opened his drawer, sold me the halves for face value, and sent him home.

I'm guessing it's not the first time he's tried to pull it.

    1 Franklin, 3 1964's, and 8 40%ers. Not a bad score.
