Congrats Thad. I've been intending to try and put one of those together. Did you pull them all from circulation?
Actually a tuff set to put together NICE. Altho only issued in the 2005 through 2010 goverment Mint Sets and not for circulation, many have streaking, spotting, and/or contact marks. Mint even delayed the release of the 2009 sets due to problems with the cents.
That would be a miracle! LOL I had to buy multiples and select from among them because many of these are dinged and spotted. These are relatively inexpensive, so it wasn't too bad to build. I still need to upgrade a few of them but this is a project I'll work on over the years. I'm just happy to have them all in one binder page. It fills a gap in my Lincoln collection.
Right on, that's part of the challenge....finding high grade coins. These aren't much better than the biz coins for spots and contact marks.
This is a great thread to surface. The satins are very lovely, but alas few collect them. Finding them unmarked is a real challenge. If you have some years to fill, I have extras from lots of years. I am old and slow, but I only put away unmarked or lightly marked, no spots, and try to find full steps. So if you are serious, send a list. I like trading. Less costly.
