Yeah yeah, buy what I like, I know.

I have about a 50 dollar limit. I may be able to push 100 if I'm lucky. I have my eyes on a nice flying eagle cent and a few wheats or silver dimes for an album. Any thoughts on what grade I should look for in the flying eagle for 50 dollars? I would also love some other suggestions. I love collecting sets and filling albums. I'm working on Roosevelt, Lincoln and Buffalo nickel sets, so I already have my eyes open for those.

What would you want for YOUR birthday?

Well if its not to much,,,,I would love to have a 1933 Double Eagle for my birthday.

But just off the top of my head I think a very nice flying eagle cent for the money you'll get to spend on a coin and take your time picking one out.

    And Happy Birthday ,,,,,

An '09 VDB would be nice. Or a BU Mercury (but my girlfriend would steal it :p ). Most likely a Bust dime since thats next on my list.

    And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

For $50, another idea could be a large cent. These are large, impressive looking coins. I liked your idea of a flying eagle cent as well, or even a two cent piece. While "normal" coins are interesting to us, always remember sometimes its good to have some coins that other people find fascinating just to justify your collecting. :)

    Happy Birthday.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! My birthday isn't til next week, I'm just getting ready :) I will definitely (I hate spelling that word. I always spend 5 minutes trying different spellings. My computer wants me to say "defiantly") post what I get. I'm excited!

my last birthday gift was a MS 1861 seated liberty quarter. its not my first choice of coins i want but my dad got a bargain on it so i wasnt going to be picky. 50 to 100 bucks range? i dont know what to suggest. you can always get some nice morgans cheap. with large cents youd be limited to the later dates. maybe try and fine a nice barber half/quarter or walking liberty half/standing liberty quarter. i think you could get a VF flying eagle for that money or just try to find what looks like the best deal that would add to one of your sets.

Well, it doesn't catch everything but it's especially helpful late at nite when my spelling skills tend to wane.....:)

When using Chrome... When I make a post and want to attach an image, the option to add image 'from computer' doesn't appear. I am only able to use a URL. Is that the same for the rest of the Chrome users?

When I choose 'insert image' :
    choose.jpg
In IE, I can select from computer:

    ie.jpg
In Chrome, my only option is a url for the image:
    chrome.jpg

That is why I don't use Chrome for the forum.

When replying hit "go advanced" and you should see a paper clip thingy on the toolbar. That's what I use to upload.
