1836 Capped bust half dime love token

    Look what I found today at a yard sale. Someone didn't know what they had!! I only paid 25 cents for it. Yes I know I don't really like it when people drill holes in coins, but these things are pretty cool! So hey 25 cents for an 1836 Capped bust half dime not bad, what do you think?

    It was probably worn as a necklace or charm on a bracelet. That coin probably has an amazing story behind it. Makes you wonder who Ned is....

    I'd buy those things all day for 25 cents apiece! Two bits was a heckuva deal for the silver, the coin, and the romance that was behind the coin.

    that is a nice piece.

    However, the hole is no problem, love tokens are commonly holed.
