I know, this is not a coin but a medal but maybe someone can tell me more about this: Av: to the commemoration of his late R.H. the Prince Consort Albert Rev: International Exhibition 1862 stamped in the building - by H. Uhlhorn of Grevenbroich Prussia weight: 35,7 g diametre: 40,5 mm 3,5 mm thick a silvery shine, but on the edge some darker spots (silver-plated??)
Judging by the 'cathedral' style reverse, it looks like a Weiner medal, but I've only seen them in copper, and this one seems to be silver or white metal. These are not my area of expertise (know next to nothing about them) , so I don't know if there ARE any that were struck in the 'off metals'. Though, the rims look a bit dinged up, and it has had a possible/probable cleaning. Perhaps someone who knows more about Weiner medals could correct me.
