Hi and Happy Holidays to all. I have a question. I have two 1915-D lincoln cents graded by PCGS at MS 64 Red. One is CAC, the other not. The CAC is a nice red but not blazing in color or luster The non-CAC is blazing with outstanding luster. Which one would be the keeper or more desirable out of the two? I realize the CAC brings a bit more value but the non-CAC has better eye appeal. I am going to let one go, but would like some great insight and opinions. Thank you
We can't really help you without pictures. We can offer generalities based on your descriptions, but that's it. Based on your simple descriptions though, it seems an easy choice to me... sell the CAC and get more money, keep the one with better eye appeal.
Eye appeal is always #1 for me. I’d rather have a gorgeous MS63 than an average MS65 or ugly MS67. Since both of your coins are MS64, and the only technical difference between them is a little green sticker, I’d sell the CAC coin (which might fetch a little more anyway), and keep the blazing beauty. It’s an easy enough question for me that I don’t even need to see pictures.
