Yeah, that is no garden variety Federal Reserve Note either - it is a Silver Certificate - pretty nice find and great shape considering it is a circulation find.

Awesome for a circulation find , I love how these harder times put the old money long since forgotten back into circulation.

thanks for the comments. i am not all that into paper money (prefer coinage) but i do hold on to star notes and anything wihtout the green seal. what is the best way to keep such finds? i just stick them in my baseball encyclopedia for now

You can keep it in your encyclopedia for a short time , I'm sure someone will chime in to tell you the acids will compromise your note's integrity over time. You should buy a currency holder for a few cents at your local dealer , although the cheap ones that most use turn yellow after a few years, you could go all out and buy a archival safe museum quality Mylar currency holder, these run about 50 cents to a dollar a piece.

Best way? Try worst way! The acids in the pages destroy it over time. I would buy plastic currency sheets if I were you.

    P.S. Nice find. :thumb:

Very very nice. It is amazing that with 'silver certificate' on top, that it was not pulled from circulation. Amazing. Glad it has a nice home now.

Great find, especially for face value. To keep and preserve your note, I would suggest purchasing some holders from any local coin/hobby shop.
