    1970 canada quarter rim error

sorry but my question was the rim and outter of the coin is very wide, wider then what the pics shows. and in the coners you can see the denticals that normally surround the coin. but the outter is smooth. what causes this and has anyone seen this before ?

Dryer coin. Caught in the fins of a commercial dryer for a while.

    1970 quarter

i was thinking the same. as i have read it before on a forum. but the coin is actually a bit larger than the normal 1970 quarter piece. and seems a little heavier

Do you have a scale to measure the difference in grams?

Does it look like it has a bezel attached? Maybe used as a keychain or pendant?

    correction

its actually smaller . the inside rim is exactly the size of a 5 cent piece. as for weight my dig scales the batterys are dead so that dont help/ maybe it is a dryer thing but like i said the inside you can actually just wedge a 5 cent piece in there. also i can see the denticals of the outter rim on the 25 cent piece on it as well. pretty strange.
