I was afraid of that but I didn't want to jinx things. Both PCGS and NGC are taking very hard lines on coins with color. There's been altogether too much hanky panky by low lifes and often the TPG's get stuck when coins later "turn" and their guarantees kick in. One thing to keep in mind is that the opinion you paid for, and waited so patiently for, is just that. An opinion. Many dealers and collectors sigh after what you just went through, and then resubmit the coin. Sometimes many resubmissions. The success rate is pretty good or they wouldn't do this. I don't think your chances with PCGS are going to be any better. But if I were you I would definitely send it in again...to either NGC or PCGS. It is a very pretty coin and another grader, or even the same grader on another day, may have an entirely different perspective. I think it will eventually grade cleanly. It sucks to have to spend more, but sadly, that's part of the game. Don't give up. And if you do, PM me because I'd buy that coin raw and do just what I suggested you do. Lance.
