I have a 2005 West Virginia quarter. It is silver in color. It makes a tinkling sould when droped, unlike a regular quarter and feels lighter in weight. Is it a collectable item.

Welcome to CT. All quarters are silver color...

Please post pictures and if you can, weigh the quarter.

thank you for your interest. I have been looking for my answer on the internet. Think I might have part of a Silver Proof set. It's mint mark is "s". I work at a bank and it came in a mixed roll of quarters that I recieved from the federal reserve, so I don't have the complete set if that is what it is part of. IF that is what it is, do you have any idea what it is worth?

If it is marked "s" it is either a Clad proof, or it is a silver proof. Check the edge of the coin. If it is all silver and you do not see any copper, then it is a silver proof and is worth about $8 (melt value). If the edge shows copper, it is a clad proof and it is probably worth about $2. Hopefully it didn't get to scratched up.
