Been collecting a while and pretty familiar with calgary coin and a few other sites but this guy has me stumped. I believe its a medal. The reverse is blank, no date or denomination i can identify. On the edge, where i believe the chain broke off, the raised medal is still present. If anyone can help me with this medal i would be most grateful. This is my first post!

What you have is a medal commemorating graduation from the Nanyocho Elementary School. Nanyocho is the Japanese name given to a Pacific island possession that Japan received as part of the Treaty of Versailles which is now part of the country of Palau. The medal dates from anywhere between 1922 and 1945.
