Looking for help IDing this coin. It is about 9.6g and 26mm. It looks a lot like some of the coins I have found on the net of Maximianus and I think that is what is inscribed on the coin but I have not been able to locate one with a left facing bust. Most of his coins seem to be right facing. Any help very much appreciated - thank you!
Download the Genio... list from here. It's a spreadsheet of all the types in RIC, so you should find your coin there.
Thanks Gao That helped... I think I am very close with this coin - size is a little bit but maybe not out of the realm of possibility-
That looks like it. Keep in mind that ancient coins would very in diameter, since they were all hand made. In general, weight is more important, and this one is close enough to yours that it should fall under the same classification.
The pictures are a little blurry, but what I can see looks fine, I didn't see anything like this in Forvm's fake coin reports, and it's not the sort of coin I normally see forged. It's probably real.
