I found a 2003 dime that looks like copper exposed on both sides. I am just starting to learn a little about coins and was wondering if anyone has seen anything like this or if I am just a rambling fool? Thanks for the imput.

If possible please post good photos and the weight of the coin (to the nearest 0.01 g).

ps. just in case you think i'm stupid, a food scale was as good as i could get. i don't really have anything else to weigh it on.

The likelihood of the clad layer being missing on both sides of a coin are very remote. I think your coin is stained or toned.
