I just went to a local auction that had a massive collection of grey sheets from 1977-1995. the lot started at $2 and no one bid lol. I took my chances and placed a bid and took the whole lot. I figured I share some key date/pricy gold prices from the 1977 greysheet. The prices will be formatted $bid/$ask. 1909 $10 Indian XF/AU 195/215 1907 High Relief $20 St Gaudens XF/AU 1700/1900 1920 S $20 St Gaudens XF/AU $3250 (no ask) 1856 Flying eagle penny WOW! good 550/600 ms60 1450/1600 1877 indian good 125/137.50 ms60 650/725 1909 S VDB good 120/127.50 ms60 200/220 1914 D good 45/49.50 ms60 475/530 Should I keep going? I'm going to set aside a couple of issues of Numismatic News so that, in my retirement, I can reminisce about all the four-figure gold prices.
In 1988, a book was published on the first 25 years of the CDN. I was able to buy a copy of it from a friend, but it is still sealed in the original shrinkwrap. I am reluctant to open it. Chris
