Even though this thread is more than 5 years old, it does proves one thing. We still get people who occasionally post that they can't find their DDO's & DDR's listed in the Red Book.

Merc Crazy is spot on. The 1963 DDO FS-101 is not a major variety by any means. The last 5 Heritage has sold from '09 to 2/10, all ANACS slabs, range in price from $23 to $40. L&C Coins has one in MS64, PCGS, listed for $50. These are a MINOR variety, and at these realized prices, they aren't worth having graded by PCGS (not even worth being graded by ANACS, if an MS64 is only getting $30).

The FS-102, which also has a DDR, is a little more costly, with the last 2 sold by Teletrade in Nov of '10, graded by PCGS, in MS64, they fetched $196 and $184 (don't know what the coins look like), so THAT isn't even a hugely popular variety.

The FS-801, DDR, different story....1 graded by PCGS, fetched $891 in March on TT.

Thusly, there's no 1963 DDO going for big $. I owned 6 at one time, all ANACS (as most seem to be, though PCGS has graded a little under 50 of them), and paid short $$, and got short $$ (a few were a little shorter than what I originally paid)....an interesting variety?... probably not. If it weren't that it was required in the Washie w/variety sets, they might just fall off the radar entirely (but one variety set also includes the bajillion MN varieties, so....).

Not a spectacular variety by any means, but neat, nonetheless...hence my keeping one. But big $$, not even close. not knocking it, but just putting it out there.
