1864 2 Cent Piece Rotated Die

    Would anyone be able to pin a price or estimate the value of a 180 degree rotated reversed die on a 1864 2 cent piece? The coin is in Good condition. Are these common?

    I believe all modern us coins are minted 180 degrees (but I don't know about 1864).

    No real premium. There is a very common die variety in 1864 that almost always comes with a 180 degree rotation. I'm thinking somewhere between 5 and 10 percent of the 1864's have that rotation.
