The food box idea is an awesome idea. I thought of the USPS flat rate box thing too, but when I picked some up I then realized they printed the logo on the inside of the box. I was thinking about wrapping them in brown craft paper though. But I don't know, the boxes have a warning saying using them for any purpose then a flat rate shipping box is a violation of federal law. Its a shame to because I'm preparing to sell my collection of board games and USPS has a flat rate box specifically for shipping board games. It's the perfect size but costs $12.95 flat rate. If I charge that much for shipping I'm not going to make anything from the games. Some smaller grocery stores give away free boxes that they receive bulk items in too. My post office had a bunch of small size boxes for free. Not the flat rate boxes, just regular small boxes that you fold together.

I can't figure out how to get photobucket pictures in the ebay descriptions for my listing. I uploaded them to photobucket and copied the HTML code and pasted it in the description area. When I posted the listing, it just shows all the code. I tried looking at the standard and HTML and they both looked the same. Any help please?

You should be able to click the HTML tab at the top of the description box. Make sure you are pasting the HTML code though. Photobucket also has the IMG code and direct link, so make sure you aren't pasting those by mistake. Of course if you post using the HTML tab all your text has to be formatted using HTML code so you need to know some basic HTML skills. There are free sites that generate the HTML code for you and you simply paste it into the description box with the HTML tab selected. Here's a site that offers free ebay HTML templates, seems pretty simple even if you don't know HTML.

I've never used it, so I don't know how it will work.

Download something like Dreamweaver or some free HTML program so you can make a template page. You can use this page for all of your auctions. If you use HTML it's more attractive and professional looking. Try not to spend much on ebay fees if your item is common or not worth it. Go with 7 day auctions ending on Friday, Sat, or Sunday. However any day works. Give free shipping. Add the shipping cost to your item for auction unless you start it at .99. Also you can use the Buy It Now option along with the auction. Accept returns on your items unless you are selling a hoard or can't keep track of what you are selling. Use nice pictures that will open full screen when clicked on. You can get free web space to upload your pictures. This way you save on ebay fees. Make your descriptions accurate. And get right to the point while adding the title. Dont use words like WOW and AMAZING because they are a waste of space. When people search, you want them to find your item so use words that you think other people would use. On the bottom of your page put Feedback Appreciated! Thanks! If you plan on selling long term as a business then buy mailing supplies in bulk. It is alot cheaper. Give expedited shipping. Go 1st class mail with insurance and tracking. You may also add these costs to your listing. Give other shipping options as well.

Ebay will take 9% at auction end so you might want to also add this to your costs. PayPal charges .30 along with 2.9% of item sold for transactions. Get a premiere PayPal account if you don't have one. The fees are cheaper.

    Good luck
