Hello, I'm new here and just wanted to post this thread about older World Coin books you may have, but don't need. I bought mine, a 1991 standard catalog of World Coins, from a local Goodwill for $2 or $3 and it's something I cherish greatly! I've been reading quite a few posts by other people who, like me, cannot afford to buy things new. I would like to ask that if you have older copies of books that you don't need or never use anymore, please consider donating them to a local Goodwill or equivalent. Libraries can be a good source for some, and the internet is a VERY great tool in identifying World coins, but there is NOTHING like having a reference book in your possession, it heightens the enjoyment factor considerably! Thank you for considering this. - IQless1
Nothing wrong with being old fashioned Ripley, and I agree with IQ as well. There's nothing like having a reference book in your hand to look through at your leisure. I like your idea IQ and applaud you for your post. While I've never given any old reference books to Goodwill, I have donated several dozen to my local coin club for other members to use. Welcome to the forum and I hope we hear from you on a regular basis. Bruce
