    lumberman,
Good News. The toning on your commemorative will NOT decrease it's value in most cases.
Which Commemorative is it exactly and what is this "booklet" like? As far as I know,US commems usually come in blue boxes and the Jefferson one was issued last year.
Check it out and let us know and we can give you an idea of value.

Can you post a picture? Toning is not necessarily a bad thing.

This was something issued in a package of some sort. It also contained a 94 nickel and $2 bill. Wasn't sure about the toning..sounds like it isn't so bad. Thanks

What you are talking about is the 1994 Jefferson Coin & Currency set. The nickel was special because it was made with a matte finish and had a low mintage. It could only be obtained in that C.C. set. CLICK HERE to see one and what the set sells for today.

If you have a nicely toned example still in the set I suspect it would sell for a good bit more than that.
