Photographing ancients

I think this is the bottom line for me as well. I shoot coins because that is what I do.

I second that too, collecting is one thing and a great hobby, photogrphying is another one with its own pleasure

A very interesting thread, I actually haven´t photographed my collections yet as I´m not that into photography and haven´t had the need yet but I have started to think about it. So this thread gave me some really good tips.
