Today I looking for something and I came across my
1999 Silver Proof set and I see the NJ,PA & CT
are starting to tone. Has anyone else notice this with there sets?

I bought a Dansco album that had them in it (a true eBay special, the seller never noted the coins were inside but I noticed in them in the picture), and they have some pretty dramatic (and IMO unattractive) album toning, a bluish tint over each coin with reddish around the edges. The same album had some 2000 silver proofs that did not have nearly the same level of toning.

i have the full set of the the silver proof quarters in a dansco album. they all have light brown toning on them. mostly in the areas that the designs are. i thought it was quite odd as they were all blast white when i put them in the album about 1 year ago

I started my State Quarter Dansco album back in 2005/6-ish. The coins in there were pulled from circulation as new quarters were released. When I checked in 2009, they were turning golden brown. They are in the "high desert" of Nevada.

Toning is personal opinion. Naturally toning coins in Whitman or Dansco albums are attractive in my own opinion. Since I moved back to the Oregon Coast in 2000 from the Nevada Desert all my Silver Coins (Franklin Halves, ASE, Morgans) have started light brown toning from the rims working their way to the center of the coins.
