I'd like to have the Boston, Philadelphia and Cleveland notes from the 2011 $2 single note collection. The notes that were distributed through lottery. If anyone has them or knows where they are, please let me know. Thanks.
You may need deep pockets. I've only seen one so far, (Philadelphia) and it went for over $80. My understanding is, lottery winners won the right to purchase only one note....so you may have three separate dealings to get these three districts. Good luck.
Thanks, Steve. $80 to $100 might just be a fair price for these. I would like to have at least one complete set, though.
I'm looking to complete my set too. I'm sure there are a couple thousand more collectors thinking the same thing. Hopefully, more will start to surface soon. I am still trying to get position and plate numbers for those notes.
Haven't seen any yet myself, but I'll be quite surprised if they don't fit the pattern of the seven other districts (minus I and J). So far, all of the 20110xxx serials have been from position G4, and all of the 20111xxx serials have been from position H4--the last two positions of the same print runs that produced the 2008, 2009, and 2010 serials in their other thirty positions. Meanwhile, the I and J notes appear to start with 20112xxx in position A1, and count up from there. Whether those two print runs included 2012, 2013, and beyond is anybody's guess--we'll have to wait and see what the BEP sells us next year. But, like you, I'd really like to see some of the low-issue districts' 2011 notes, just to verify that the plate positions are as expected....
What is the deal with the 2011? The BEP decided to go into business making rarities? Heck I didn't even get a chance to get a regular set much less a lotto note. Since I have no dog in this hunt, If I run into one I will be sure to forward it here...
