Unsure about this one? Real or what?

    just curious if anyone wanted to comment on this 1828 capped bust half dollar I found in my grandfathers jewelry box. Any comments are welcome (expert or not)! Mostly wondering if its real or maybe a good fake (unmarked of course).

    It certainly looks genuine to me. Unfortunately the coin has an X scratched into the obverse.

    I think it's good too Ray, but the scratch hurts it's eye appeal and of course value. A nice old classic design though.
