I used to sell cigars in a mall attached to a casino. One of my clients at the shop loved to gamble and had an affinity for nice cigar boxes. One day he walked in with a $10 Casino token and asked if I would trade boxes for token. After a few weeks of trading, I managed to accumulate 8. This is 9yrs ago. Today, I am grateful for my buddy that hooked me up with these beauties.:D Anyone else have friends from the past which traded goodies that you still have?

They're nice tokens Zirbg. I have some that I've picked up over the years, but I don't really collect them. I actually have had friends give me a few at times because they know I'm interested in them.

I have 57 of them. I learned that most of the silver strikes produced in 2005 and later contain about 1/2 oz. of silver, and most of those produced prior to 2005 contain about 6/10ths oz. of silver. The Silver Striker's Club website is devoted to them, and you can look up yours in their online catalog.

Nice Bruce, appreciate those friends who love to give. Thank you Chris, I am going to check mine. I didn't know there were different ones. I'll be checking mine asap.

    Sincerely,

I checked out the Silver Strikers website and found a little about my Strikes. They were minted in 1997 and have .60/oz .999 silver content. There are several different mint mark variations and they ask their readers to email pictures of the ones that are not pictured. I have one that they are missing, so I sent a picture of it. I hope that helps the site, plus it's kinda cool to know I have one that they don't.

With spot price, my Strikes are worth $28 but some fetch a much higher price on the auction site.

Again, Thank you Chris for the link!

I was searching it for info, too, and I learned that the Slots-A-Fun Wildlife Series has a clash on some of them. I found that I have one Gila Monster and three Mountain Bluebird with the clash. Cool! I never knew they valued clashes on anything other than coins. I also learned that the "Valley of Fire" from Slots-A-Fun has a mintage of only 500, and I have 6 of them.

Sweet Chris, that's awesome! I'd love to see a picture of them.

I tried getting photos of the clash with both my camera and my stereomicroscope, but the gaming tokens were struck with prooflike fields and the clashes are hardly visible.

Here is an "ordinary" photo of some of them, but the Bluebird and Gila Monster aren't in the shot.
