    That CBH is a 55. I think PCGS might have graded it 58, on a different day. It's got the luster to support it.

    The obverse is an EDS and the reverse die was pretty shattered. CBH's can have a lot of character.

    AU55? Really? She definitly looks like an AU58. Thought about a resubmittion? Yes, I would have thought it would possibly grade a lower end mint state (MS60-MS61) just due to the amount of lustur. Also, this may be a stupid question, what is EDS? Is it "______ Die Stage"???

    Oh, sorry. Right. EDS = early die stage.

    Thanks for the nice comments. I'm a big fan of CBH's. Sometimes the most fun ones are the modest ones. Many of the 1814's are special. Here's an XF40 full of character.

    Beautiful...Just beautiful :bow: . Does the majority of your collection consist of CBHs, or are you a wide range, type collector?
