Sadly nothing can be done to help the coin. The coin still has value however. Since there is some black toning on it i would say it would be worth about 1.50 to 2.50 on a good day. You could clean the coin using an comercialy avalible coin cleaner but doing so would make the coin worthless.

It would be a nice piece, and worth it too, if sent to NCS.

Does NCS allow coins like this to passs through the certification process? If so, no wonder their ratings are so poor. ;)

NCS is the conservation wing of NGC, Sometimes they can work miracles and if they do this coin could be quite nice.

I bought some of BadThad's VERDI-CARE a while back and it saved some of my coins. You might want to check it out.

From the way the luster in the coin looks, it appears to me the coin has been dipped once before.

The reverse of the coin appears to have some wear on it, making this coin an AU coin. For investment or financial purposes, this coin would not be worth sending in to NCS.

BUT, on the other hand, this coin would be a nice experiment coin. Would be very interesting to see what Verdi-Care would do on this coin.

+1 this ones already been dipped. The dark areas previously had some bad corrosion going on.

Even if you remove the spots, you're still taking about a coin that would maybe be worth a few bucks.

No. Move on. I know, it sucks. That's life.
