This is just a fun thread for people of the CoinTalk website to share and showoff some of their newest additions to their collection. Please, don't be shy! Everything is welcome. Here, I'll start off with this... I recently purchased this 1932-D Washington Quarter (F12-F15). Some of you here on the CoinTalk site may have seen previous threads when I was still unsure if I was going to purchase this. I am very pleased with it and feel I got it for a great price! Who's going to be the brave one who goes next................? :i-wave-hi: Lets Have Fun & PLEASE KEEP IT CLEAN, Brian
I have a couple of new things in the mail Brian, but nothing new right this minute. I'll post them when I get them. I like your Washington by the way. Bruce
Same. I have: - 8 coins at the PCGS waiting for grading. Current status is "OK". Been there since 4/6/11. - 5 GSA CC Morgans at the NGC waiting for grading. Current status is "Scheduled for Grading". Been there since 4/4/11. - 5 Teletrade winnings (more Morgans) from 3 auctions. 4 coins shipped yesterday and 1 was just won last night. As soon as I can, I post my new coins to my set registry. The link is in the bottom of my signature. Because I'm working on my Morgan set and because it's been coming together so quickly, I haven't been 100% on top of things to get pictures taken and images posted. When I get all the GSA coins back, I will make a special post. Until then, I will silently update my registry. Oh. I did get a 1964-D PCGS SAMPLE Roosevelt dime the other day for $4.75. It will go nice with my Kennedy PCGS SAMPLE slab.
I got a 1879 IHC and a 1970 Proof quarter for a combined total of $5.16 with shipping... quarter is shipped already, waiting....
Some people might be reluctant to post because there's already a contemporary "new acquisitions" thread: http://www.cointalk.com/t158772/
Yes, I noticed that. It seemed that many people were posting currency notes (even though I do see some coins on the first page). I wanted to devote this thread specifically to coins. -Brian
Wow! Very nice Capped Bust Half! Looks like an AU grade. You agree? It may be a soft strike, but from the photos it is difficult to tell for sure. -Brian
I've had a few others say AU but I'd say xf. Paid F money for it though, because the dealer says he doesn't deal in bust halves enough to know or care and has too few buyers for them, so he just wanted it moved. I told him if he has any more he wants moved for cheap, I'm his man! Guy
Wow! Very pretty! I'm droooooooling. Haha, What's the grade? I'm going to guess AU58, but there looks to be a good chance of it being a lower end mint state coin if it was originally a weak strike. Either way, she sure is a looker! -Brian PS: Loving the reverse die breaks!
