I'm looking for one to two rolls worth of 1955 pennies. Just regular old, no mistakes, circulated coins. It's for a project for a non profit organization. if anyone has any types/info it would be much appreciated. new to the coin world......Thanks!
non profit? can I get a receipt for tax purposes? I could make a donation if legit. tell us some more about your project.
hey is there a messaging system on here? i know it would be a smallllllll chance someone from our group would find this but I want it to be a surprise. our group was founded in 1955. We have national/world competitions in the summer, where we will be defending our title. I wanted to make good luck pennies for everyone, and I've done that before on a smaller scale, but duh, why not have them be 1955 pennies! I'm going to epoxy a shamrock to the back side and give them out as good luck charms. I'm asking the "higher ups" if this is something that they could give a receipt for, but I'd be willing to pay for them.
PM sent. all you have to do is hover or click on the screen name. You will find somewhere the option for Private message. Not sure that it will go over very well with collectors in general to basically "deface" a coin let alone a collectible. Personally, I don't care what you do with them, although I think that is something that you might consider..... possibly someone in your group might take offense. What is the significance of 1955 and what type of group and how many are you competing against. Holding a world title is pretty cool. I am not trying to shoo you away, but if you have to personally buy them and to save you the trouble of asking for a donation receipt, you can get 1955 circulated cent rolls for around $5 delivered on eBay all day long. Just type 1955 roll into search
