It's raining and cold here in Detroit today. Always bums me out. So I ran over to the bank since my wife has my ATM card (of course lol). The teller remembered me asking about Ikes and halfves, etc..
She said " An old lady brought in some "silver" dollars.
I said, "oh cool, I'll take them all.
So she drops 300 in front of me. Score!

At first glance they appear to be in amazing condition. Anyway, right place, right time. Definitely brightened up my day. Can't wait to look through them after work :)
    Geez, im a dork.

I will have to refresh my memory on what to look for. The types, and what years. Anyone want to throw me a good link before I go google happy?

Only ones I really look for are silver, NIFC and proofs, '72 Type 2's, and FEV's.

Just read up on the FEV. Thanks for the tip. I have never heard of that. Now you pushed some other fact out of my head so this one could enter.

It hasn't been mentioned yet, but I would look for 1973's which were not released for general circulation, but were issued in US Mint Uncirculated sets only. Probably won't find any, but I did find 3 or 4 in a bowl of Ikes at a coin show a few years ago, so you never know. They are not high dollar items but still worth a few dollars above all the business strike Ikes.

They have been mentioned... NIFC. Not intended for circulation.
