The age old question... were the spots there when the coin was slabbed.

I'll say they were but not as bad. 66.

I am going to say MS68RD on this one just due to the fact that the redness on this beautiful cent is very, well, red! I rarely give any Lincoln Cent a grade this high simply for the reason that there aren't many graded in this grade, but the red on this coin is not a copper-like red, it is a very red kind of red. I am sure this reply sounds very confusing and irrational to some, but certain Lincoln Cent enthusiasts whill understand what I am saying...possibly. LOL! :too-funny:

The spot is the deciding factor. Anyway, nice coin with beautiful luster and redness

    66 RD

With the spot and several digs in the reverse, I can't see it grading above 66

Well, you're right about that. There are none graded MS68. But NGC has graded thousands in the 66-67 range. And that's just one TPG.

My guess is 66RD. Could be 67RD but it's impossible to say from photos, especially small ones.

I'll bet it's gorgeous in hand!

Good luster, nice strike and real mark free. I don't think the spots were ther or at least that noticeable when it was graded. Without the spots, it is a solid 67. With them, maybe a 66.
