Helping a friend go through a set of old silver coins passed down through the family. Found some No Stars Below Eagle SLQ...they are significantly worn and the date is not visible...is there a way to tell the difference between a 1916 and 1917 and are SLQ's of this date, worn to the point no date is visible, worth any more than silver content?

post a picture. Most times someone here will likely tell you whether it is a 1916 or a 1917

Abe, That was perfect information, thank you. The three coins in question are clearly 1917 Type 1 examples after reviewing that information. So with them so worn the date is gone, is there value beyond silver content?
