I finally got around to finishing my wifes homemade silver ring. I used a 1914 Barber Quarter.

Worked the inside down with a little knife after drilling it out with a drill.

Very nice...I have been trying to work up the guts to destroy a silver coin and make one. Hey by the way....whats the price of silver in the future..:D or did I fall asleep for a month again

So seeing your thread finally inspired me to make on as well. I just got over the pain of destroying a coin by using a Canadian coin:D Only problem I really had was that as the coin got smaller I was hitting my meathooks more than the coin so I started using a small hammer, which made way too many dings to try and polish out. But I think I am addicted now, and my wife can't wait to go to the next show to pick out some coins for me to try one with the design on the outside. Honey-do list just got some coin stuff added:thumb:
