Well it's been a while since I've been able to post a new gold addition to my collection (darn prices are too high imo) but I decided to go ahead and buy this beauty .... and yes I paid too much for it :)

Very nice. I almost bought one earlier last year but ended up buying multiple coins I needed *u.s. coin upgrades* vs one coin, I.E. a Spain 8 Escudo. Sometimes I regret it and sometimes I dont.

Super piece. I am very jealous. It could be the centerpiece of any Spanish Empire collection. Cartegena mint ????

Seville Mint; note the "S" mint mark left of the Golden Fleece pendant on the reverse. The "C" to the right denotes the mintmaster, Carlos Jimenez Almaraz.

Great. A good Old World mint.

Phenomenal. On a good day, this would have found its way to an MS grade. Consider resubmitting.
