This is the most beautiful proof Buffalo Nickel I've ever seen. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270734126949&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
TexasJarhead, Go for it! If you win it ... let us know Lafayette, do you know who the photographer is?
I don't know for sure, but it looks like Brandon Kelley's (poorguy) work. Notice that the slab photo layout on that E-Bay auction and the coins on his website are the same. Also, the E-Bay seller states that the old slab photos were professionally done. http://www.jhonecash.com/coins/coin_show_archives.asp?cert=325785401 He posted a thread on Cointalk a few months ago and I visit his website often to drool over the pretty coins. http://www.cointalk.com/t158432/ Mark
Thanks for that info, Lafayette The NGC price guide says the value of a 1937 PF67 is around $2,690 Not sure if the star designation gives it a premium over that. Certainly the toning will. Current bid $1,500 ... sure to go higher.
Oh, the * will indeed add a premium. So, you have a premium for the *, and a premium for the toning....I'm guessing this goes for at least $4000.00
