I think this may be a 1999 wide AM, but I'm not 100%, so I thought I would get everybody's input on it!

Here is another super macro shot of the AM, you might have to click the pic a few times to get it full size

I know that nic on the reverse is pretty bad on it, and I'm not really sure what the spots on the obverse is, but hey, I paid 1 penny for it! :D

The FG is close to the memorial building and it looks like the G has serifs. Both of these go along with the wide AM.

The AM is far apart. It's a WAM 100%

Anybody care to take a stab at a possible grade? I'm not sure how much nics like that on the reverse, or what's above the E R and C in America will take off of the grade.

Jackpot, looks in similar condition to mine, not quite as nice. Still a heck of a find, I'm still stuck on #1.

    62 RD, maybe a 63 on a good day.

I was thinking maybe 62 RD from photograde, but I wasn't sure if the nic or anything would deduct from that

It was great, I almost didn't go get a box from the bank either! I got $25 and they were CRW and it was going horrible to start. one of them had only 45 coins in it, but the next one had a dime, I got 14 canadians and only 5 wheats from the whole box, but then this little guy poked his head out and made my day!

According to John Wexler (email of 2/26/2010), there were four dies used in 1999 for WAM.
But two had been used in 1998 and carried over to early 1999 and one was used in late 1999 and carried over to 2000. Thus only one die was exclusively 1999.

I do remember that my '99 WAM is the rarest die, the unclashed one. I also found mine in a CWR... I'm surprised one made it's way all the way out to Oregon, gives me hope of finding a 92-D CAM.

Do you guys think this is worth sending in to get graded?

I'm considering sending mine to ANACS because I can't find anybody willing to let me piggyback on their NGC or PCGS submission. I'm thinking mines a 63 or thereabouts... it certainly would help for selling it, but wouldn't exactly drive the final sale value up by very much, I've been told they sell in MS62-63 for about 350-500 regardless of them being slabbed or not. Getting it slabbed would give you a nice leg up on the competition on ebay, though.

If I get it graded via NGC, do they put the "Wide 'AM'" on it for free? or would I need to also pay $10 for 'VarietyPlus'?
