    Hi,

I just got three 2011 Britannia coins that I bought off of Ebay. The seller has good feedback. The coins are in the sheets/blister packs from the mint but I know those could be gotten anywhere or re-used.

Each coin looks pretty good except the Queen looks like a "weak strike?". Her eye is barely there....it is more of just a smoothed out section. I tried doing a search for 2011 coins and found several where her eye is very well defined, even with wrinkles.

So, do Britannia coins sometimes get weak strikes or is it possible that I got three fakes? I know you have to be careful with buying Panda's because of fakes, but I didn't know about these. Sorry I don't have a picture yet, but thought I would ask. It looks like the other coins that I see but all 3 coins are the same - really no defined eye.

    thanks

I really don't think you have anything to be concerned about your coins being counterfeit.

Well, when the die gets close to replacement time. the strike gets weak, thats all nothing to worry about. Yet ?
