I was board at work today and was trying to find a cool conversation coin to buy online and stumbled across some 1995 DDO Cents. Do we have an idea of how many where minted. How rare is it, and does anyone think it has potential to grow in value? Just trying to learn about it. How much should I spend to get a nice red 67 example?
As for mintages and potential, I have no idea. Heritage sold a few of them in February in MS 67 for 56 to 59 dollars (and one for 89). MS 68 would demand more like 100 to 130. Again, this was in February and changes happen.
They're out there. PCGS graded more than 11,000; NGC more than 6,000. You should be able to pick up a 67RD for around $100. Here are some pix from coinfacts. Lance.

In 2005, I bought ten (10) PCGS MS67RD for $125 each and regretted it ever since. There could be whole bags of these things sitting around just waiting for the right time to be coaxed out of hibernation. Oh well...live and learn!
yeow... I got a nice raw from a dealer out of NY for $35 back around '03... and have found one roll searching in EF-AU. I'm going to submit the nicer one sometime this year along with a nice 84dd, I think the 95 has a reasonable shot at 68. I'll create a thread for them pre-submission once I get to it.
I bought 2 bags back in 95. I still have a bag and a half to search. I gave up and bought one. The last ones on Ebay brought about $125 for MS-68's.
