Beautiful. Prettier than my grandmother's old tea pot set.

I liked the color. What surprised me what the MS62. It seemed like a very worn coin. I am so bad at grading. The price of course did not surprise me with a MS62, and lovely toning, but the grading sort of did. I have so much to learn.

I following this thread. Eventually I will get the hang of it, and be able to use my newly acquired knowledge in the shops.

Thanks for posting. I checked it out yesterday and frankly, think JarHead's color is nicer. Although this is nice too as a 65 with good luster.

The Proof Indian was bought for $500.00 from Charmy, "The Penny Lady" at the Baltimore Whitman show last month. You're up Oval_Man.

Don't feel too bad. Buffalo's have to be one of the hardest coins to learn to grade. They are famous for their weak strikes so it can be a ***** to differentiate between a soft strike and wear. I'm in the process of getting a PCGS Buffalo in every grade and hope to build a website with pictures to help people (and myself). It's a long term project.

To be honest I don't know why your 13-S is only a 62; looks cleaner that than to me. How is it in hand?

I'll post a coin later this evening.

In normal room light, it doesn't reach out and slap you with the toning. Need to look at it under direct light.

Got this back from Todd (BluCC) recently. First time I've used him and am very happy. The scrapes on the cheek are just luster grazes and don't look as pronounced in hand. Purchased a year ago.
