Opinions on my Portugal newps?

    first up is a 1915 10 centavo,

    i paid $5 each so i was wondering how i did, and sorry about the pictures, i took them with my new 4th gen ipod

    You did OK if the silver coin is unc otherwise you greatly overpaid for the cu/ ni. The silver is common as most silver is but the cu/ ni is common only in low grade. It was very high mintage and only about 80% have been destroyed with almost all the rest that look like yours. It's a very desirable and tough coin in nice VF and better. Typical and junky VF's aren't that hard so don't pay up for them. AU might be the best grade for this one relative price. It should be worth around $20 in nice attractive fully lustrous AU, I believe.

    At $5 each you can't have lost too much.

    the silver one is very nice, no wear on it whatsoever, so i was thinking AU also, so thankfully that made up for my mistake of buying the CuNi, but thats just another lesson learned

    beautiful, i liked it too thats why i picked it up, i dont care that it isnt worth the $5, its just a conversation piece

    If u wanted to pay 5 dollars for it because of how much you liked it then that means it is worth it and dont let others tel you differently
