    Hello Group
Sorry I don't have a picture of the Ike Dollar with me. I can repost tomorrow if needed.
I did attach a drawing to show what I have. The tail on this T is the Starting T in TRUST
1972 Ike Dollar. The extra looks like it is just as good a stamp as the rest of the letter. What is this error called? and what is the common value increase to coin?
    Thanks Big Ed T.JPG

It sounds like you coin may have a small die chip coming off the T. sometimes a small chip will fall out of a die then when the die strikes a coin the metal flows up into the missing chip area and can resemble about anything. I sold a rare and unusal quarter on Ebay a few days ago and it had a huge die chip that looked exactly like Washington had another chin right in front of his original chin.

If it appears a little uneven or ragged along the edges, it may well be a die break. If it appears that the edges are relatively smooth as in a straight line, it may be a die gouge.

That just means the "T" is a boy...

    Kidding, I'd say die gouge..

I know you guys are doing the best ya'll can without a picture. After hearing from cpm9ball and downlow I am leaning toward a gouge.
    Thanks much Big Ed
