I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember if all the emails were within ebay's system. However, as to credibility, I'm very, very careful when conducting online transactions and can't imagine why I would've ventured outside it. I'm just reporting what reps at both ebay and paypal told me: email documentation is not (cannot legally be) accessed in disputes.
This is what I was thinking. Sounds like a scam artist, who unfortunately knows how to work the system in his favor. Good luck getting it resolved!
That is sooo harsh! Unfortunately it reminds me of that saying that says "nice guys finish last"! Keep in mind that when you bend over backwards for some ppl, they see it as kindness and will recipricate. Others see it as a sign of weakness and try to take "kindness for a fool". As long as you learn from this fool then don't waste too much time on it. good luck, ebay should understand by reading the emails. :thumb: Oh and don't change your style for this one dimwit, your true customers know what you're about!!
If you used eBay's email, there should be no way to scam the emails. Talk to eBay (talk = phone) and see what they have to say.
Thanks everyone I appriciate your advice and kind words, I will let everyone know the outcome when I get hit by the bad feedback
Siggi , sorry to hear about your negative . As said before some people just like to complain , or maybe he's a little mentally unstable . You tried to do the guy a favor that's to your credit . Paypal sides with the buyer . As you look at sellers on ebay just about all have a few negatives and they're honest sellers like you . Guess it comes with selling on ebay . Good luck on your endeavors . Rusty
I do not have a store on E-BAY but a differant site , started it in DEC. 2010 In my page on shipping I say that i will hold the invoice for 7 days if requested If I do not hear from the buyer in 24hrs i go ahead and send I have had 2 problem buyers so far The first one was my very first buyer , he paid promptly , then he made a bid and won, e-mailed after the bid, and replied that he was in a tornado and could I possibly wait pass the 7 day policy waiting on payment, I replied no problem a month later he sent the payment, i thought I guess that is alright So after that I put a phrase on the main page and said if for some reason you can not make payment please E - MAIL me and we can work something out Because times are hard now and things do happen , So he bids again and wins, no payment 7 days later, I sent invoice 2 more x still no answer. He had won 6 items so that was 6 feedbacks I did not enter the lowest rating about mid level of course my comments were no payment He went off on me and said he had personal problems, that I was very rude for doing this, so he left me the lowest feedback and knocked me fromm 100% down to 92 % 100 sales later i'm only at 96% because of this As a seller we try to bend over backwards to please a customer and it smacks you in the face I know here you are coming from and feel your thoughts But we just have to be careful , and try to have in our policy as much as possible Sorry for any typo errors but I think everyone knows my situation HANG IN THERE BUDDY !
Did the buyer "push the button" to agree to cancel the transaction? If so, I don't think they can leave feedback afterward. If the transaction has been "officially" cancelled, to test it, see if you can leave feedback on the buyer.
This is another website I can leave replies to his comments but it does not help the score any Since the end of DEC. i have had 217 sales at this time with his 6 bad feedbacks i'm still at a 96 Wich as a customer does not look promising if i was buying But as I said you can not please everyone.
Post response to his comment, and them move on. You can't win with an idiot like this. It happened to me once with a customer, who after trying to reason with him sent me a negative. I replied to his negative with a rebuttal and put him on a list where he was not able to bid on any of my auctions.
I'm so sorry this happened to you. Don't beat yourself up my friend, I think you may have kept yourself from being ripped off. Have you looked at the buyers feedback? As everyone above said, you didn't do anything wrong. Some people are just impossable to deal with and this is one of them. You bent over backwards for this losser and he is still complaining. I'm hoping it gets straightend out for you. You are a FIRST CLASS person Siggi, don't let this guy get under your skin. Keep us posted Thanks! Mark
Good news it seems that buyer was willing to close the case with out a negative feedback. I explained my situation and he explained his and when we started to speak the same languege we agreed that it was not worth spending time on. In stead restore the communication. I actually saw that my first response what not professional and I should have done way better then what I did. So case closed and hopfully I can help hom out expand his collection. Siggi PS Thanks Mark for those kind words and thanks everyone for your input.
sorry to hear that siggi, some people on ebay are complete *******s, i have had similar things happen and in the end i closed my account as i couldn't be bothered to put up with the crap any longer.
This guy is dang lucky he came around ,,,,,If he didn't ,,,, All you had to do is give us his address and he would have been sleeping with the fishes
