This probably should be moved under 'rules' but seeing as their was only one posting I felt silly asking it there, so mods, feel free to move it if you deem it necessary: I know that many of us on here have shared photos of various coins in the collection. Well, today I was practicing taking pictures of some new Memorial Cents and was becoming frustrated as I just couldn't get the combination of luster and tone that was representative of the copper coin into the picture. (Copper is so much more difficult to photograph than my usual silver acquisitions!) I took a video and with some tweaking, got some nice results. However, since I haven't seen video on cointalk I didn't want to go against forum rules and post one. I did check rules...and since my video isn't copyrighted I don't see an issue. Any suggestions or answers with regards to if video posting is allowed would be appreciated. Thanks,
I will be posting videos in the future. not ready yet. I would like to see them update the coding to allow for embedding of videos. absolutely!
Rule 3 – Self Promotion – self promotion is not permitted on Coin Talk. * See exceptions is the only one that seems it could be possible, but as long as it is of coins or numismatic material, and doesn't incorporate your website's url, auction #, or direct to a site where sales or promtions might occur, it is within the rules.
