    The $5 note is what's called a Birthday note..collectors with that birthday may be interested, however, it is fairly circulated and may not draw as much of a premium. The $1 I would let it go back to the wild...

    Thanks Rickie,I was pretty sure the $5.00 was a birthday note,but the $1.00
    I wasn't sure about.
    I received these in change yesterday,to bad the condition is poor.

    I'm much more informed about coins than paper money, whats a birthday note?

    Skyler the serial number could read as Sept. 5,1970. (09051970)

    What's a BUT?

    EDIT: Nevermind, I think I answered my own question.

    It's supposed to read:
    Well circulated BUT are these notes worth holding on to?

    (But) are they keepers.
