Ok, first victory for me: I went back to BoA (where I just got 14 rolls of wrapped halves) to get that SBA roll. While I was waiting, I asked a young teller (guy was probably 21 or so) if he had any half dollars. He said he had $12 in halves, so I took 'em. Out of 24, 20 of them were 1966 ....SCORE!!!

I've been searching a lot of rolls lately and haven't found anything. So I was on my 7th roll of dimes when I instantly see the silver. I pull it out expecting a 1950s or so dime. IT WAS A MERCURY DIME!!! 1937 and in really good condition. I have never EVER found a mercury dime. EVER! I can't tell you how excited I am. I know it's probably nothing to most of you but this is a wonderful find. Just when I was ready to give up roll searching....

I was pretty pumped when I found my first Merc dime. Then I found 18 more in the box. Haven't landed a Merc score anywhere near that since, most since that was 2 in a box. But I LOOOVE finding mercs in rolls.

Skunked on a box of nickels, by the way... think I'm gonna hammer dimes hard tomorrow before heading into work... gonna try to do 5-7 boxes.

What's your method for searching dimes? 5-7 boxes before work? How fast do you go through them?

I'm heading back out to the bank to get more rolls. I'm feeling lucky!

30 minutes a box... I have canvas bags I dump the change into... so just rip open the box, and start shredding rolls. Silver gets put aside, everything else gets tossed into the canvas bag. Rolls go into another canvas bag... I think, if I wake up around 9:30-10, I should be able to get 'em all done... I don't work until 3, so... 3-11 for me tomorrow. :(

Box of cents I just opened has two enders, hopefully it bodes well...

Got 9 more rolls of dimes and found a 1964. Told ya I felt lucky!

Next week's box of halves is gonna be all silver. I just know it. (A girl can dream, right?)

I know exactly how you feel. I found my first ever Merc (and still only one) a couple of months ago and was thrilled. I know it doesn't have the value of the many silver halves I have found, but I was WAY excited to find that Merc. I'm still looking to find my first ever IHC.

I have a question about IHC's, which years and mints are valuable?

Hey all, what rolls are best to search to find lucky coins like Morgans or older coins like that? Do I search the halves or quarters? Please let me know the best odds.

Yep....that's fun. I recently found a box of coins that I forgot I had and in it was a seated liberty half (1875) that I didn't know I had.....Into the Dansco 7070 it went....even though it is in terrible shape.

    Yesterday, no luck:
    Box of halves: Skunk
10 rolls of cents: some copper, but nothing else....no wheat, no DD, no WAM, no......

Well, a Morgan wouldn't fit into anything but a dollar roll, obviously. So to try to find Morgans (good luck with that), you'd have to search Ike Large dollar rolls.
