...I am thinking about purchasing this coin very soon, but I thought I would just factor in some of the intelligent CoinTalkers opinions into my decision whether I purchase it or not. What do think the OVERALL GRADE is for this coin? What is the MAXIMUM PRICE you would pay for the coin?

Thanks Guys & Gals. It Is Greatly Appreciated,
    Brian

Nice looking SLQ, that said my guess would be an AU55. Smooshed head, worn Union middle, left bird wing worn and quarter dollar on the reverse very obstructed looking. I would not buy the coin, the pics are nice enough to tell me that it could potentially be a problem coin. jmho, good luck!

I see some flatness on the leg, too, but mostly it looks like it's been scrubbed pretty hard. I'd guess AU50 details -- but, while I've looked at quite a few SLQ's in various states of wear, I've had little opportunity to "check my work" against TPGs.

Its a very beautiful SLQ. So few left that good. EF-45.

I think it might be cleaned, not sure... Don't see any hairlines, but the dirt around the devices on the reverse is concerning, especially for an XF45-level coin.

Interestingly enough these coins are rarer NOT being FH.

Looks like AU/XF details and appears cleaned.

I would stay far away. This is a VERY common coin and you can afford to be picky.

    PASS!

Of course all above have accurately described this coin. That's said, even though the unusually flat head turns me off, I'd still buy it at the right price. What are you thinking of paying for it?

I didn't want to go over $80.00, but with a better photograph I might even go as high as $95.00-$100.00. What sounds like a good price that you, yourself, would pay?

Given that I think it's cleaned, I would be hesitant to pay anything for it without seeing it hand.
