OHi guys and gals...new to the forums here. Inherited a nice collection this is something I was interested with. What do you think.
I think it appears to be a nice light to medium back to face offset error on a $10 note. I personally collect offset errors and they vary in degree of transfer patterns and intensity. I also collect that District, New York. If I had a better image of the front and reverse I could give you better information. RickieB
This is only other photo I have right now. I will post more later. Are these worth collecting? Bill is in very good shape. I have no experience in grading so I will not even guess. It's a crisp bill though.
Yes, they are worth collecting. Trying to grade by pictures is quite difficult and never like to do that. Take a UV light and shine it uopn the note from the rear just underneath the note and it will reveal imperfections to you like small folds, pin holes, handling areas....do it in the dark. If you are not sure what to do with it..PM me and we can go into better detail . Offset errors are known to occur on either side of the note and the transfer comes from wet ink contacting the face or back of a note. RickieB
I inherited a few bills and a lot of coins from my mothers great aunt and my grandmother. I have some coins as well that I want to sent out to get slabbed. I have a double eagle st. gaudens in very good shape. It was only in a plastic bag. I wouldnt have even known its worth until I saw the pawn stars episode and was intrigued and started looking at my collection. Trying to learn as much as I can.
