No mint mark on those coins. They were minted at the Philidelphia Mint. I recommend getting a red book and you can get some basic information on two centers. PS - Nice grandpa you have there.
Thank you for the comment about my grandpa He passed away last august.but do you think it's a nice coin?
A nice example of the two cent piece. There is a lot of history behind that coin, some very interesting reading. I'd grade it, based on the pics only, at about a Good 4 condition. I have quite a few of these, and just love the history behind them, let alone that what you have is a US Civil War era coin. The suggestion of buying the Red Book, above, is a good one. Available everywhere it's formal title is "A Guide Book of United States Coins" by RS Yeoman. The 2012 edition is just coming out, cost is about $15 or so, and worth every penny.
Sorry to hear about your grandpa...it is a nice example as pennyguy stated. What makes it more special is your grandfather gave you the first coin of your collection.
Looks better than my 1865 2 cent piece haha. I love the weird denomination coins too. 2 cent, 3 cent, half dime etc.
I can only hope my grand kids get on here some day talking about the first coin I gave them. You would have made your grandpa proud. I hope you keep collecting and maybe some day in the very far off future you can give a coin to your grand kid as well.
