I saw that the Mint launched the 2011 Native American Sacagawea dollar coin in January. But when I go to the Mint's website, I don't see them available for sale yet. I'd like to get 10 of these rolls through direct ship, but I don't see the option to do that yet. Anybody know when they'll be available?
The launch ceremony was rescheduled to February 15. It was intended to be launched on January 12, but because of a very intense snowstorm, the ceremony was postponed. Link to the date is here
For some odd reason, those coins are one of my favorites, and I can't wait for them to be released. (I don't really want a mint set)
I didn't realize the launch was postponed. Thanks for pointing that out. And these are one of my favorite coins too. Can't wait to get a direct ship order on them.
Actually, it turns out that the launch ceremony has been pushed back again to March 25. Here is the link. The rolls, at least the collectible rolls, will go on sale on March 28.
Wow, that's far behind last year's schedule. I guess the Mint is overworked with the America the Beautiful program.
i cant wait until i can source some of these rolls....absolutely love the idea of the united states releasing coins with a peace pipe being shared ....i already have a few thru the p/d sets and teh proof set....is an amazing looking coin
OK, so the 2011 Native American coins are out. I want to order them direct ship but I find the Mint shopping site a bit confusing. They have an option "Native American Government Treaties N05" but they don't show a photo and they don't list a year. Are those the new 2011 coins? They need to be more clear in their marketing.
And I'm the schmoe who ordered them in the mint wrapper at a premium. Sorry, just can't help myself....
I paid $20 for 20 NA Dollars. Can't beat the price. (I did have to feed a meter for parking though.) Below are photos of one of them.
Thanks for the replies. I just ordered a box of 2011 Native American dollars. Looks like I'm on backorder until April 21.
